The National Honey Bee Health Survey, sponsored by USDA and the Bee Informed Partnership, began several years ago to document the presence or absence of bee diseases, parasites and pests of honey bees. The Survey also samples pollen for the presence of over 174 pesticides.

A Compliance Agreement is a document that describes how a company will properly treat Regulated Articles to mitigate the spread of EAB and adhere to the quarantine law.

To gain a better understanding of honey bee health in state Colorado, the CDA has taken part in he National Honey Bee Health Survey an initiative sponsored by United States Department of Agriculture, Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS) and the Bee Informed Partnership. Colorado has participated in the survey for 4 years; 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2017.

DriftWatch™ is a voluntary registry tool that is intended to help pesticide applicators and specialty crop growers in Colorado communicate more effectively and to promote awareness and stewardship activities to help prevent and/or manage drift appropriately.

In 2012 industrial hemp was approved to be grown in Colorado. Colorado Department of Agriculture tests various hemp seeds to ensure that they grow true hemp with .03 or less THC.
